MRO Americas 2025 Day Two: What To Expect

On the second day of MRO Americas in Atlanta, expect a packed agenda filled with insightful discussions led by industry experts.
The first sessions of the day will focus on used serviceable material (USM) concerns and lessor perspectives about how recent market disruption, slow aircraft deliveries and engine issues have influenced fleet plans and contract negotiations.
The lessor perspective session will be moderated by Nehal Reddy, partner and associate director at Boston Consulting Group. The panel will feature Manuel Cordero, president and CEO of Cusco Aviation; Eric Crosh, vice president of commercial leasing at AerCap; and Omid Eslamipour, vice president of technical at Macquarie AirFinance.
In the USM session, Mike Stengel, principal at AeroDynamic Advisory, will moderate a discussion, featuring panelists David Dicken, executive vice president of asset management at Unical; Dave Chriske, president of Chromalloy Material Solutions; David Chaimovitz, CEO of Setna iO; and Jaqueline Fernandez, senior vice president of the Americas at AerFin.
Next on the agenda is a panel discussion with experts from Lufthansa Technik, MRO Holdings, HAECO Group, RBC Capital Markets and Delta Air Lines that will address capacity constraints, investments, expansions and critical challenges facing the industry.
Happening simultaneously will be a session on parts integrity efforts moderated by Aviation Week Network's Executive Editor for MRO and Business Aviation, Lee Ann Shay. The panel will feature Stacy Morrissey, vice president of engineering and quality at American Airlines; Robert Sumwalt, executive director of the Boeing Center for Aviation and Aerospace Safety at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; Danielle Lesch, CFM56 program director at GE Aerospace; and Brent Ostermann, vice president of product assurance and quality at StandardAero.
Following these sessions will be panels focused on engine MRO trends, Delta TechOps' drone-based aircraft inspections, Satair's recommendations for material management and MRO and airlines' perspectives on improving base maintenance throughput.
The final session will provide insights from airline leaders in North America about their priorities and concerns. Topics include decision-making related to fleet dynamics, maintenance footprints and how operators are adjusting to increasingly aging fleets as retirements are delayed. The discussion will also cover investment decisions in technology and workforce development to ensure future resilience.
