Eurowings has launched flights between Hamburg and Tel Aviv following the LCC’s decision to return to the Israel market. Flights between the destinations will operate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. “The new direct connection to Tel Aviv makes it easier for many people to visit their families and friends in Israel. At the same time, it strengthens the economic and cultural ties between our regions,” says Dirk Behrens, head of aviation at Hamburg Airport.

Saudi Arabia’s flyadeal has introduced its first routes to Pakistan. Service to Karachi from both Jeddah and Riyadh will be offered twice a week. “Pakistan has long been in flyadeal's planning cycle, and finally we've added this very important market with the commercial capital of Karachi the first of many cities expected to be inducted to our network across the country this year,” CEO Steven Greenway says. The routes are expected to support the needs of the large Pakistani community living and working in Saudi Arabia.

Etihad Airways has commenced Airbus A380 service to Singapore Changi Airport, marking the first time the Abu Dhabi-based carrier has operated the aircraft to the airport. “Bringing the A380 to Singapore, along with our broader network expansion plans—including increased frequency on key routes—demonstrates our strong growth momentum in Asia,” says Etihad Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer Arik De.

Latvian carrier airBaltic is increasing frequencies between Tallinn, Estonia, and Amsterdam from March 30. The airline will add an additional daily flight between the cities, taking frequencies to 2X-daily. Tallinn Airport board member Eero Pärgmäe says the expanded service will open up new one-stop connections via Amsterdam thanks to airBaltic’s cooperation with KLM, Air France and Delta Air Lines.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has launched a new route to Stockholm Arlanda Airport from Tokyo Haneda, strengthening Sweden’s connectivity with Asia. Service will be offered three times per week. “ANA's investment strengthens Sweden's connectivity and further improves our range of destinations at the airport for those traveling for business or to visit friends and family,” says Jonas Abrahamsson, Swedavia's president and CEO. “The relationship between Japan and Sweden has a longstanding history, and we have a mutual interest in the connectivity between our countries being excellent.”

LOT Polish Airlines plans to resume its seasonal Gdansk-Rzeszow service from June 2. Flights will operate twice a week through Sept. 12 using Embraer 175 aircraft. Spokesperson Krzysztof Moczulski says the airline hopes the route will continue to promote domestic tourism in Poland.
