Polish MRO provider LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services is to become the first Embraer Authorized Service Center for E2 aircraft in Europe, the Brazilian OEM has said.

This means that the Warsaw-based sister company to flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines will provide routine checks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and component maintenance for E2 aircraft.

Embraer already offers heavy maintenance for E2 aircraft in Europe through its majority-owned Portuguese subsidiary OGMA, which received certification for the work in 2022.

LOT was the launch customer for the E-Jet line in 2004, although it only added the E2 last year under a deal to lease three E195-E2s from Azorra.

LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS), meanwhile, achieved Embraer Authorized Service Center (EASC) status for ERJ-145 and E-Jet aircraft in 2012. Since then, it has performed about three million hours of heavy and line checks on the aircraft.

“Our collaboration with LOTAMS spans decades and has resulted in millions of hours of high-quality work,” said Carlos Naufel, president and CEO of Embraer Services & Support. “Given this strong and enduring relationship with the Polish MRO, it is only fitting that LOTAMS becomes Europe’s first E2-qualified EASC. We warmly welcome LOTAMS and look forward to seeing E2 fleet maintenance checks carried out in the Polish capital.”

LOTAMS currently has five bays dedicated to E-Jet maintenance and plans to add more to service Europe’s growing E2 fleet. The fleet is set to nearly double to 126 over the next decade from the 66 aircraft in service with European carriers this year, according to Aviation Week Network’s Commercial Fleet & MRO Forecast 2025.
