The state airline is to launch an additional flight to Singapore from June 1, 2015 operated with its new A350 XWB aircraft.
The two existing daily flights to Singapore will also be operated with the airlines A350 XWB aircraft, commencing service in July and August 2015.
With the additional frequency using the new wide-body aircraft, Qatar Airways will further strengthen its position in one of the leading business cities in the Asia Pacific region.
The new daily flight will depart Doha at 20:25pm, arriving into Singapore at 09:15am (+1 day), with the return journey departing Singapore at 10:40am, arriving into Doha at 13:15pm the same day.
“Qatar Airways is proud to be the first airline in the world to introduce the next generation A350 XWB aircraft to Asia, redefining the travel experience of our passengers,” said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker.
Passengers will benefit from the aircrafts wide seats in all classes of service for the 7 hour 25 minute flight. The Economy Class features 247 18-inch wide seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, each with a 10.6” in-flight entertainment screen, with the Business Class cabin providing 36 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration featuring 80” full flat beds and 17” HD in-flight entertainment screens.
“We are also delighted to add another flight to this important and strategic route which will provide our Singapore-based passengers with even more options when they travel on business or leisure to key destinations in Europe and the Americas that include London, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, New York, Chicago and Houston,” he added.
Currently, Qatar Airways operates a flight that leaves from Doha at 02:25am, arriving into Singapore at 15:15pm, with the departing journey departing Singapore at 07:00am, arriving into Doha at 05:05.
The airline also operates a service that leaves at 07:00am from Doha, arriving into Singapore at 19:50pm, with the return journey departing Singapore at 21:20pm, arriving into Doha at 23:55pm.
