Breeze Airways will add three more destinations to its network, including Denver International Airport (DEN), as part of 11 new routes that will be part of the U.S. carrier’s summer schedule.
From May 16, the airline will open seasonal service between DEN and Providence, Rhode Island’s T. F. Green International Airport (PVD). Initially, the route will be flown 2X-weekly, rising to 4X-weekly on June 15.
All 11 of Breeze’s new routes will be operated with Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Mobile, Alabama, will join Breeze’s network from April 10, when the airline starts year-round, 2X-weekly service to Florida's Orlando International Airport (MCO).
The new Breeze airport getting the most routes is Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in South Carolina. From May 24, the airline will open service from GSP to both Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and MCO. Both routes will be summer seasonal and operate 2X-weekly. Also on May 24, the carrier will start 2X-weekly seasonal flights between GSP and Bradley International Airport (BDL) serving Hartford, Connecticut.
From May 3, Breeze will open 2X-weekly seasonal flights between GSP and PVD. From May 10, it will launch 2X-weekly seasonal service between GSP and Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida.
“Our region has experienced a steady increase in the number of people from the [U.S.] northeast and West Coast who have chosen to live and work in the Carolinas,” GSP CEO Dace Edwards says in a statement. “Breeze’s new service significantly enhances our region’s accessibility, and we are confident that these flights will result in new investment in our business and tourism sectors.”
Breeze will add four more new routes in May, connecting markets where it already has a presence. From May 2, the carrier will open 2X-weekly seasonal service between BDL and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. From May 31, the airline will kick off 2X-weekly, summer seasonal service between TPA and Orange County, California.
Breeze will also add two more LAX routes. From May 22, it will start 2X-weekly seasonal flights between LAX and Madison, Wisconsin. From May 23, it will open 3X-weekly seasonal service between LAX and Akron-Canton, Ohio.
Breeze, founded by David Neeleman, is approaching 50 destinations in its network this summer. It launched in May 2021 with 16 airports on its route map.
