LAS VEGAS—Honeywell announced the Honeywell Ensemble, a business jet turbofan engine data service, during NBAA-BACE here. Honeywell Ensemble downloads and transmits engine information to analyze and track engine conditions after every flight in near-real time, Honeywell says.
Honeywell Ensemble is available for Bombardier Challenger 300, 350 and 3500 aircraft, Textron’s Citation Longitude and Embraer’s Legacy and Praetor models. In 2025, it will be expanded to other aircraft, including the Dassault Falcon 900A/B.
The service can detect, analyze and address potential issues before they disrupt flights. It also will facilitate digital connections between operational data, engine build records, engine maintenance records and a digital engine logbook, now under development.
“Honeywell Ensemble allows operators to benefit from timely and unique insights about how engines are performing,” says Dave Marinick, Engines and Power Systems president at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. “The real-time insight provided by Honeywell Ensemble will not only increase aircraft uptime and availability, but it will also give operators enhanced mission assurance and will ultimately provide a better passenger experience.”
For the service, Honeywell installs a Wi-Fi-enabled engine data gateway on an aircraft, which draws the data from the engine and transmits it under a secure protocol to Honeywell’s cloud-based data analysts’ platform, called Honeywell Forge.
