Data Spotlight: Russian MRO Demand for Western Aircraft

Airbus and Boeing have halted support services and the supply of spare parts for their aircraft in Russia, with airframe and engine OEMs such as Embraer and GE Aviation following suit. The European Union has also prohibited the supply of spare parts and aircraft to Russia, as well as the repair and maintenance of any Russian aircraft or aeronautical equipment by EU companies. The industry is now trying to assess how Russia’s airlines will maintain their aircraft and what the affect will be on the country’s MRO industry.
