AAR and Liebherr-Aerospace announced a 10-year general terms agreement that will give AAR license rights to maintain, repair and service Liebherr-Aerospace products. The services will be carried out at AAR’s component services facilities on Liebherr’s flight control, environmental control, and thermal management components. The agreement also includes a power-by-the-hour contract for several AAR partner companies.
German carrier Condor Airlines announced a set of packages in which its customers can voluntarily and financially support the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and selected climate protection projects in Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. Passengers will also receive information on how much CO2 is produced on average for the seat they booked.
Embraer company Atech announced two contracts with the Brazilian Department of Airspace Control (DECEA), valued together at $17 million, to modernize Brazil’s air traffic control centers and upgrade strategic solutions for the management of Brazil’s national airspace flow. Atech will apply its Sagitario and Sigma solutions that were developed in partnership with the Brazilian Airspace Control System Implementation Commission.
GE Aerospace said Tawain carrier EVA Air signed for GEnx engines to power four additional Boeing 787-10s it has ordered. EVA currently operates 15 GEnx-powered 787s.
GKN Aerospace announced a £15 million ($19.4 million) investment in the Airbus SusWingS development program to create high-performance, environmentally aware wing technologies. GKN collaborates with the UK’s Cranfield University and University of Manchester on the Airbus project, which builds on Airbus’ Wing of Tomorrow program.
