Jet2.com is the UK’s third-largest airline and has experienced sustained growth with the recent launch of two new bases including Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) and Bournemouth Airport (BOH) meaning the company will operate from 12 UK bases in Summer 2025.
Seat numbers have increased on pre-pandemic figures driven by an additional 210 routes since 2019, including 15 new destinations such as: Izmir, Turkey; Chania, Greece; and Bergen, Norway. Offering more than 500 routes across the 12 bases, Jet2.com has a catchment area of over 54 million people covering 75% of the UK population. Continuing its growth, Jet2.com has over 120 aircraft with nearly 100 more on order, ensuring certainty of supply into the next decade.
As the UK’s leading package holiday provider, Jet2.com has received numerous awards and accolades from the likes of Which? And Tripadvisor. Its brand loyalty continues to thrive with over 60% of summer 2023 bookings being from repeat customers.
Working collaboratively with its 80 airports and 110 tourism partners, the airline is commended for its strong business relationships having been crowned the winner of the Airline Category at the Routes Awards in Aarhus. Speaking on its success, Janice Mather, head of airports & tourism organizations told Routes: “I can’t tell you how excited we all were. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are also passionate about their commitment to sustainability taking bold and tangible actions to reach net zero by 2050 including the purchase of new aircraft that are over 20% more fuel efficient, increasing the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and electrification of Jet2.com owned ground service equipment.
