Delta Air Lines will add Marrakech, Morocco, to its network, with service from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) starting later this year.

The airline also plans to open seasonal service between its ATL base hub and Accra, Ghana, next winter.

Service between ATL and Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) will kick off on Oct. 25 and be flown 3X-weekly. The carrier will deploy a Boeing 767-400ER on the route, which will be exclusive to Delta.

Other North American airlines serving RAK in the 2025-26 northern hemisphere winter schedule include United Airlines operating from Newark and Air Transat operating from Montreal Trudeau International Airport (YUL).

Royal Air Maroc flies from Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Morocco to five North American points: Miami, New York John F. Kennedy (JFK), Toronto Pearson, Washington Dulles (IAD) and YUL. Air Canada also serves the YUL-CMN route.

Delta will further expand its Africa flying with the launch of flights between ATL and Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra from Dec. 1. Those flights will be operated daily on a seasonal basis with an Airbus A330-900neo. Delta cited the success of the aircraft type on the JFK-ACC route it launched in October. United serves ACC from IAD.

Also next winter, Delta will launch service between Austin, Texas, and Cancun, Mexico. The route will be operated daily with an A320 from Dec. 20 to mid-April 2026.
