Hanwha Aerospace says its ready to support the South Korean government when it decides how to pursue an indigenous engine program for the KF-21 fighter.
A joint statement hailed the agreement as a “trailblazing initiative that would “enable greater transfer of U.S. jet engine technology than ever before.”
The investment will support maintenance of the General Electric F414 engines that equip Sweden’s new Gripen E fighters and older F404 engines on its Gripen C/D.
