Belgium’s new aviation tax will be introduced from tomorrow to the annoyance of the country’s airlines.

Short- and medium-haul vacation destinations make up the bulk of the carrier’s restored routes.

The airport now has more than 50 airlines offering service to more than 175 destinations worldwide.

The ULCC plans to fly 2X-weekly on the routes from the Belgian capital’s secondary airport.

The carrier also plans to start a new Brussels-Frankfurt connection this summer.

Brussels Airlines has stressed that “all its efforts” will go into resuming operations on April 20.
