Kazakhstan’s Air Astana may delay the launch of direct air services with the U.S. due to the late arrival of its new Boeing 787 widebody passenger jets.
Kazakhstan´s Air Astana Group, which includes Air Astana and its LCC subsidiary FlyArystan, wants to build out its fleet to 63 aircraft by the end of 2025.
Air Astana plans to install additional fuel tanks on its Airbus A321LR fleet so the airline can provide nonstop flights from Almaty to London Heathrow.
FAA representatives are in Kazakhstan to conduct an audit in preparation for launching direct flights between Kazakhstan and the U.S. by the end of 2025.
