Porter Airlines Elevate Their Flying Experience With The E2.
Toronto-based Porter Airlines recently took delivery of the Embraer E195 E2 aircraft during a special ceremony at Embraer’s headquarters in Brazil. A landmark deal for both companies, the airline has orders for up to 100 E195-E2s with 50 firm commitments and purchase rights for a further 50 aircraft.
As the North American launch customer for Embraer’s newest family of jets, the arrival of the E2 means that Porter can bring its game-changing ‘flying refined’ economy cabin experience, that includes premium snacks served on board as well as complimentary beer and wine in real glassware, to a much wider audience.
Along with the outstanding service, customers can look forward to an enhanced cabin experience thanks to the 2+2 seating, guaranteed aisle or window seat, larger overhead bins for stowing luggage, plus fast and free Wi-Fi with full access to web surfing and streaming entertainment.
This deal will also be an important ‘stepping stone’ to the success of Porter’s long-term business strategy and growth, enabling the airline to offer competitive ticket prices and reinvest savings back into the customer experience as a result of the class-leading fuel efficiency the E2 delivers.
The new aircraft will be based at Toronto Pearson International Airport and deployed on business and leisure routes throughout North America, including to the west coast, Southern U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean.
