Collins Aerospace's Singapore Innovation Hub held its first media tour since its 2020 launch, ahead of the Singapore Airshow. The hub leverages robotics, automation and data science to advance operations across its MRO network.

Aviation CEO Forum
An Aviation CEO Forum gathered leaders from CFM International, BOC Aviation, Riyadh Air and Zipair Tokyo, to discuss key topics. While CFM EVP Karl Sheldon noted post-COVID improvements such as beginning to once again benchmark to prior years rather than 2019, supply chain remains a challenge. “A lot of the staffing levels of the supply chain are back to where they were, but the skills aren't there,” he said. “A lot of the talent that was there is still renewing, so expect to feel a hangover from that through 2024, at least. But demand is incredible.”

PT6C-67C Engine
Over 600 PT6C-67C engines are in service in the Asia-Pacific region, and P&WC expects that number will continue to grow. It is creating a new overhaul line in Singapore for the C-67C engines—a second location for the overhaul capability, complementing its Saint Hubert Engine Center in Canada.

SIA Engineering Company
SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) is evaluating a collaboration with Thales Solutions Asia Private Limited in the Asia-Pacific region under a legally non-binding MOU, complementing the company’s existing plan to grow its component repair and overhaul services network.

ST Engineering
ST Engineering, the largest exhibitor at the Singapore Airshow, showcased many of its innovations and technological solutions for the Aviation, Defense and Smart City sectors. Shown here is a display of on-demand additive manufacturing for aircraft spare parts.

Eagle Services Asia (ESA)
An expansion of Pratt & Whitney’s Singapore-based engine center, Eagle Services Asia (ESA), will grow its GTF capacity by two thirds in 2024. Collins Aerospace And HNA Aviation Group
Collins Aerospace was selected by HNA Aviation Group to provide nacelle maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services to its subsidiaries, including: Beijing Capital Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, West Air, Lucky Air, and Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines.

GE Aerospace: The RISE Program
Arjan Hegeman, general manager of Advanced Technology for GE Aerospace, says the RISE open fan effort is “one of most complex demonstrators we have done in the history of CFM, but we are confident of delivering a revolutionary propulsion system that will deliver carbon-neutral flight by 2050.” The update was given during the Singapore Airshow.

C919 Air Conditioning Pack At Liebherr-Aerospace

The integrated air management system of the C919 is developed, supplied and serviced by Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS. The system includes the bleed air system, the air conditioning system, the air distribution system, the cabin pressure control system, the wing anti-ice system and the avionics ventilation system.
