The Cirrus SR22 G7 is powered by the Continental IO-550-K engine, producing 315 hp. The G7 can reach a maximum operating altitude of 25,000 ft .at a maximum speed of 213 kt.

The TBM-960 is powered by Pratt & Whitney’s PT6E-66XT engine. According to the Pratt & Whitney, “The PT6 E-Series engine [is] the first engine family with a dual-channel integrated electronic propeller and engine control system in the General Aviation turboprop market.”

The Citation M2 on display at Henderson Executive Airport for NBAA-BACE 2024 is powered by the Williams International FJ44-1AP-21, which produces up to 1956 lb.-thrust. With a maximum range of 1550 nm and a max cruise speed of 404 KTAS, this Gen 3 plane can carry up to seven passengers.

GE Aerospace expects the long-awaited certification of the Catalyst turboprop within a couple of months. The engine will power Textron’s Beechcraft Denali.

While much of the talk at this year’s NBAA-BACE convention in Las Vegas is increasingly about electric and hybrid-electric propulsion for future vehicles, the everyday focus remains on gas turbine and piston engines—the latest generations of which were on display both at the exhibition hall and the static park at Henderson Field.
