HAECO Group is planning a slew of leadership changes across its business as it continues to grow services in Asia and the Americas.
Jacqueline Jiang, HAECO Group’s director of airframe services since July 2022, will become chair of the Chinese Mainland for HAECO parent company John Swire & Sons. Prior to becoming director of airframe services, Jiang was chief operating officer of HAECO Xiamen and held various leadership roles for HAECO Group’s operating company in the Chinese Mainland.
Ben Scheidel, CEO of HAECO Hong Kong since September 2022, will succeed Jiang. Prior to joining the company as executive general manager of base maintenance in January 2022, Scheidel held various leadership positions within the Lufthansa Group across Europe and Asia.
Peter Murton, HAECO Hong Kong’s executive general manager of operations since May 2023, will succeed Scheidel as CEO of HAECO Hong Kong. Murton has held a variety of leadership roles across HAECO Group, including at its HAECO Americas, HAECO Private Jet Solutions and HAECO Xiamen subsidiaries.
Derek Hui, HAECO’s head of commercial since June 2021, will take over as executive general manager of operations. Hui has held various leadership roles at HAECO since 2005.
In the U.S., HAECO Americas will get a new president of MRO Services. Bill Collins, who has held the role since 2018, is retiring at the end of this year. Collins has been a stalwart of the aviation industry for more than 30 years. He developed ICF’s MRO practice, was Bristow Group’s chief operating officer, served as corporate vice president of technical operations at American Airlines and led a $5 billion division of GE Aviation, among other roles.
Todd Navin, HAECO Americas’ chief financial officer since January 2020, will become CEO effective in January 2025. Prior to joining HAECO Americas, Navin held finance leadership roles at Rolls-Royce and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited.
