The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia is renewing instrument CASA EX05/18 Implementation of Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) Exemption 2018, which offers two exemptions that provide relief from administrative and cost burdens: allowing a DAMP organization to contract employees from another DAMP organization without having to apply its DAMP to the contracted employees; and allowing a DAMP organization to contract emergency services personnel during a time of emergency under an acceptable means of compliance.

India’s Director General of Civil Aviation has issued rules for the resumption of domestic passenger flights on May 25, including limiting operations to about one-third of pre-crisis schedules, increasing this capacity gradually, advising the very elderly, pregnant women and passengers with health issues not to travel by air, no physical check-in at airport counters and only passengers with confirmed web check-ins allowed to enter airports, adherence to lower and upper limits for fares prescribed for the pandemic, self-declarations that passengers are free of COVID-19, passengers required to wear face masks, no on-board meal services, cabin crews in full protective suits, only one check-in bag allowed, no newspapers or magazines on board, use of baggage trolleys minimized and passengers reporting at least two hours before departure.
