Ontic and Boeing signed a 10-year exclusive distribution agreement, under which Boeing will add approximately 1,000 actuation and propulsion system product lines across multiple platforms to its offerings. The deal includes thrust reverser actuation system and propeller electronic control unit product lines for a variety of aircraft and engine platforms.

Air Canada signed an agreement with Airbus for a major cockpit and avionics system upgrade for its in-service A320 family aircraft. The multi-year upgrade program includes installation of an enhanced electronic instrument system, head-up displays and many other avionics functions on up to 76 aircraft.

AFI KLM E&M signed a 10-year contract with Hawaiian Airlines covering component support services for its Boeing 787-9 fleet. Under the contract, which has a provision for a two-year extension, AFI KLM E&M will provide the airline with repair and pooling support, as well as its Prognos predictive maintenance solution. 

AFI KLM E&M subsidiary Barfield signed a component repair and overhaul agreement with AerFin covering 86 part numbers for Airbus A320 and Embraer E170 and E190 components. 

Frontier Airlines signed a five-year contract with Lufthansa Technik covering Airbus A320-family aircraft maintenance services, as well as an agreement covering digital aircraft diagnostic services through the MRO provider’s Aviatar platform. 

Horizon Air signed a contract for Embraer’s Collaborative Inventory Planning program, which will support the airline’s fleet of 41 E175 aircraft and nine E175s that are to be delivered.

Fokker Services Americas and Collins Aerospace signed a FlightSense on-site support agreement for Collins’ integrated drive generators (IDG). Under the deal, Fokker will implement IDG repair capabilities at its MRO center in LaGrange, Georgia, including installation services and an expansion of its inventory of Collins IDG components.

Collins Aerospace renewed its global distribution agreement with Satair covering electric, environmental control and engine system parts for four years.

Joramco secured a contract to perform heavy maintenance for LATAM Airlines, covering C checks on three of the airline’s Boeing 787 aircraft starting in July.

Sky Airline signed a NacelleLife service agreement with Safran Nacelles covering the CFM International Leap 1A engines powering its Airbus A320neo family fleet. Safran will provide the airline with access to a full shared pool of large nacelle components and provide services from its facility in Indianapolis. 

Tightico announced a partnership with Kellstrom Aerospace focused on sale and distribution of its complex composites, metallics and thermal insulation products for commercial aircraft, including heat shields and blankets for engine/quick engine change and auxiliary power unit application. 

AvAir has acquired more than half a million parts from Finnair, comprised of more than 14,000 line items. The inventory of rotable and consumable parts covers Embraer EMB190s, ATR 72-500s and Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330 and A350 aircraft.

MRO software specialists Trax and PTC have partnered to integrate Trax’s paperless maintenance platforms and PTC’s Servigistics software for parts optimization. The companies also plan to develop innovative joint solutions.

Sanad secured a five-year contract extension with Asiana Airlines covering MRO services for IAE V2500 engines. The contract is valued at $145 million.
