FEAM has expanded its MRO services portfolio by creating a new Major Repair and Recovery business vertical. It says the vertical will focus on the repair of aircraft damage, including tail strikes, hard landings and aircraft-to-aircraft contact.
As part of the new service offering, FEAM will deploy Major Repair and Recovery teams throughout its U.S. and international locations to support airlines, adjusters and underwriters with on-the-ground repairs. It plans to hire existing staff for these roles where possible, but it will also look to recruit new employees with AOG-related experience.
According to FEAM, the new service offering will provide a turnkey solution to customers that are “looking for high quality, cost effective ways to recover and repair aircrafts without paying OEM prices.” A spokesperson adds that the service will complement FEAM’s line and hangar operations.
The vertical will be headed by Michael Turpin, who FEAM recently appointed as vice president of major repair and recovery. Turpin was most recently president of recovery repairs and modifications at Certified Aviation Services.
