Forecast Focus: Asia Pacific Commercial Turbofan Engines

Between 2025-34, Asia Pacific’s commercial engine MRO demand is expected to grow by nearly $8.8 billion. This engine MRO intensification is accredited to the rapid pace of new engines entering the market. It is expected that over 10,000 new aircraft engines will enter the Asia Pacific market over the 10-year period.
CFM International represents 39% of the Asia Pacific commercial engine MRO demand from 2025-34. Aftermarket MRO demand for these engines totals over $96 billion and grows at a very healthy CAGR of 5.8%. The CFM LEAP-1A engines show the largest overall growth in demand change, increasing by over $4.35 billion according to Aviation Week’s 2025 Commercial Aviation Fleet & MRO Forecast.
GE Aerospace engine MRO demand represents the second highest type certificate holder demand. With a total of nearly $58 billion, GE captures 24% of the Asia Pacific’s commercial engine MRO demand, growing at a CAGR of 3.0%. The GENX-1 engine is the second-largest growth by individual engine family, increasing by over $1.78 billion over the forecast period.
