From The Archives: Hellfire-Armed HueyCobra

The cover of the issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology dated Dec. 16, 1974, shows an Army/Rockwell International laser-guided prototype Hellfire missile being tested on a Bell Helicopter AH-1G Huey Cobra at Los Angeles International Airport. 

The Hellfire missiles are mounted on the outboard pylons. The glass bubble in the nose contains the company's airborne tracker.
