Fixed-base operator ExecuJet has received fully electric ground-handling equipment at its Paris-Le Bourget Airport facility, its first location in Europe to use such machines.
ExecuJet, part of the Luxembourg-based Luxaviation Group, will place into service electric ground power units, a Mototok aircraft tug, air stairs, luggage truck, toilet service, pushback tug and portable water truck at the Paris location, Luxaviation said Jan. 17.
The move contributes to the group’s goal of achieving 100% electrification of the ground-handling equipment at its fixed-base operations (FBO) by 2030.
ExecuJet operates 23 FBOs worldwide and is part of a wider network of more than 100 facilities, including FBOs operated by partners in France and the U.S. The company has already transitioned to fully electric ground-handling equipment at its FBOs in Auckland, New Zealand, and Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.
“I’d like to extend a personal thank you to the team in ExecuJet Paris for achieving this milestone and becoming our first fully electric European FBO,” said Caroline Demsar, Luxaviation France deputy CEO.
