Signature is pumping blended SAF at six new locations in Europe.
Fixed-base network operator Signature Aviation announced six new locations in Europe where operators can fuel with blended sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), bringing to 33 the number of Signature locations offering SAF worldwide.
Signature said March 24 that blended SAF will be available this year at Paris Airport-Le Bourget (LBG) in France, and East Midlands (EMA), Gatwick (LGW), London Heathrow (LHR), London Luton (LTN), and Manchester (MAN) airports in the UK.
In October 2024, Signature said it would offer blended SAF (consisting of 35% “neat” SAF and 65% conventional jet fuel) this year at six new locations in the U.S., including some of business aviation’s busiest airports. Following a supply agreement with Valero Marketing and Supply Co., it made available blended SAF at Dallas Love Field (DAL), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF), Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), and Teterboro Airport (TEB).
The latest supply agreements will add access to 50 million gal. of blended SAF to its fixed-base operator (FBO) network through 2025, said Signature, the world’s largest FBO network. The company now supplies SAF at eight locations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and recently surpassed 50 million gal. of SAF pumped worldwide.
“We are proud to expand our SAF offering to six new locations in Europe following our recent expansion to additional key markets in the United States,” said Derek DeCross, Signature Aviation chief commercial officer. “Along with our suppliers, we’re continuing to leverage the most comprehensive SAF supply chain in aviation to help our guests meet their sustainability initiatives through greater availability throughout our network.”
Signature said it will unveil its first zero emissions full electric refueler in Europe this spring at its Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) location.
