Jeremy Kariuki is Associate Editor for Business Aviation, based in Atlanta. Before joining Aviation Week in April 2023, Jeremy served as a writer for FLYING Magazine, FreightWaves and the Center for Sustainable Journalism.
Jeremy, an alum of Kennesaw State University, earned his bachelor's in Journalism & Emerging Media. He also served in the Georgia Air National Guard as a C-130 crew chief for six years, and obtained an associate's degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
The FAA has updated its BasicMed program, further expanding the operational limits on pilots, allowing them to operate larger aircraft and fly more passengers.
