The company’s promoters will raise an additional 3 billion rupees ($47 million) “through various sources,” and increase its fleet size to 45-50 aircraft by fiscal year-end, which is March 31, 2016, an airline official says.
The spacecraft was fully assembled last week and “switched on,” a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) says. “Everything is functioning well.”
Both pilots ejected safely. According to a defense ministry spokesman, the twin-seater aircraft “was on a routine sortie when a technical problem forced the two pilots to abandon the fighter.”
