Airlines are still struggling with the changes in what they sell to customers and how, industry specialists said this week at a conference in Las Vegas.

Excessive costs and an aviation sector that is not as robust as it should be, especially in attracting international business, are hurting Canada’s air transport industry, conference panelists said Tuesday.

Latin American traffic growth has slowed from double digits, but is still expected to grow 5%-6% per year, reaching nearly a half billion passengers by 2025, according to Alex de Gunten, adviser to the executive board of the Latin America and Caribbean Air Transport Association.
