The Routes Golf tournament will take place on Saturday 1st October, and airberlin and Berlin Airports invite delegates to what they describe as "an extraordinary golf experience" at the golf and country club “Seddiner See“. This club has been a member of the 'Leading Golf Courses of Germany' since 2010 and the south course was elected to first place at the 'Leading Golf Course of Germany' ranking last year. "Breakfast is provided on arrival and will be followed by an exciting tournament," it says.
In addition to the golf our host, Berlin Brandenburg Airport, and their partner, Visit Berlin, have kindly arranged for registered delegates to experience for themselves some of Berlin’s highlights in this year’s complimentary tours programme. These include:
BER Airport Construction Site; Enjoy the breathtaking panorama from the 32-metre-high BER Infotower and see a construction site the size of 2,000 football pitches. Experience Europe’s most modern concrete factory and meticulously planned construction site logistics.
Berlin City Tour; This city tour takes you to places of interest such as the Memorial Church, the KaDeWe department store, Kreuzberg, Oberbaum bridge, the former Stalin Allee, Alexanderplatz, the Hackescher Market, Checkpoint Charlie and, of course, Unter den Linden. This is a great opportunity to experience Berlin's past and present.
Prussian Castles & Palaces; on this day tour you will be taken to Potsdam – capital of the State of Brandenburg. The city is home to the summer residence of the Prussian kings called Sanssouci. This castle is situated in a beautiful park of the same name. It comprises 13 palaces in a landscaped garden designed by the famous architect Peter Josef Lenné. Cecilienhof palace in the New Garden was the setting for the 1945 Potsdam Conference. In 1990 the palaces and parks of Potsdam and Berlin were designated as a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO.
Rolls Royce Factory Tour (airlines only); this takes you through the production lines of the BR700 and V2500 engines. The BR700 family of engines was developed at the Dahlewitz plant. At the end of the tour you will also see engine test benches and the Rolls-Royce Germany Operations Centre.
Berlin is the place to be. Whether museums or galleries, dining or entertainment, music or fashion, here is where new trends are set. The legendary nightlife, the attractive and unusual shopping opportunities, but also the unique history shaped by changes and upheavals, are attracting more and more guests from all around the globe.
