Airlines from within the Asia region have begun voting in the second regional heat of the 2012 Routes Airport Marketing Awards.
Winners of the awards, which recognise the marketing performance of airports within Asia, will be announced during the Routes Asia Networking Evening which will be held on Monday 16th April at the event in Chengdu.
Airlines are being asked to consider the efficient use of marketing activities by an airport over the last 12 months when deciding who to nominate. The airport’s market research activities, marketing communications, business case presentations and joint communication campaigns with third parties should all be taken into account when voting in these highly regarded awards. Vote now and play an important role in deciding which airport wins one of these widely sought after accolades.
Airports should actively campaign their airline customers to ensure that they are voting for them in the Routes Airport Marketing Awards –Asia. The overall winner from the region will automatically be shortlisted for the World Routes Marketing Awards meaning that the airport does not need votes from outside the region to be shortlisted for the World Awards giving them the chance to win a globally recognised industry award, no matter their size or region.
Already shortlisted for the World Routes marketing Awards is Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport who were announced as the overall winner of the first regional heat in the Americas last week in Nassau. This is Dallas/Fort Worth International’s second success in the Routes Airport Marketing Awards in the space of two years and Luis Perez, DFW’s Vice President of Air Service Development says this highlights that the airport’s customer service approach and relationships with airline partners are working. “This is an endorsement of our focus on customer service. Our core business as an airport is to secure air services and that is something that we clearly do best, according to our airline partners.”
