Scheduling is now open for Routes Americas – Q & A with Simon Baxendale
Scheduling for Routes Americas opened 4 days ago and airlines have already confirmed over 30% of their meetings. With meetings allocated on a first come, first served basis, please ensure you request your priority meetings as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment. If you have not yet registered to join us in Puerto Rico on February 17th, time is running out.
Scheduling opened on Monday, how is it going so far?
Scheduling so far for Routes Americas has been extremely busy, if not the busiest ever. I think which is testament to the importance of face-to-face meetings at Routes events and the high profile airline attendees that we've managed to secure this year. In the first 12 hours of the system being open we scheduled in well over 500 meetings. I would urge all remaining delegates to submit their requests as soon as possible to make sure that they secure the meetings the require at Routes Americas 2016.
Which of the airlines have been the most highly requested?
The airlines that are the most requested are the usual suspects, the large US carriers such as Delta, American Airlines, Air Canada, Southwest and Spirit Airlines, as well as some of the European carriers looking for new opportunities. We have a wide selection of carrier types registered so far for the event with many more registering each week, this gives attendees an excellent range of business opportunities when they arrive in Puerto Rico.
How can I find out further information about the Electronic Extra Meeting System?
The Electronic Extra Meeting System is now in its second year and we're please with how the Routes Universe has embraced this important change. Since the last Routes Americas we've implemented many changes, we're always looking to improve the standard of service we provide and with each event in 2015 we took away the feedback to ensure that we're making the changes our attendees need.
If you haven’t been exposed to the system before I would strongly recommend you join our webinar ahead of the event. I will be presenting all of the information you will need to know about the system and how to make the most of your time at Routes Americas. The webinar will take place on Monday 1 February at 4pm (GMT) and will give delegates the opportunity to ask me any questions they might have. Information will be sent out soon with instructions on how to join the webinar, but in the mean time, attendees can also visit the dedicated page on our website for all they need to know about the meeting request process.
When will the draft diaries be available?
The draft diaries will be published online via the meeting request system from Monday 1st February, as well as receiving a PDF version via email. The draft diary will show you the most up-to-date version of your diary highlighting the meetings that we have managed to secure for you. The diary will be automatically updated once we schedule additional meetings and will be available online up until the week before the event on Wednesday 10th February.
How many meetings can I request on site?
The Electronic Extra Meeting System will be available to all delegates who will be able to request as many meetings as they need while on-site in San Juan. Assistance will be available at the Diary Advice Desk should you need any help using the system.
Routes Americas will take place from 17 - 19 February in San Juan, Puerto Rico sponsored by The Puerto Rico Tourism Company and their partners Aerostar Airport Holdings and Meet Puerto Rico. For more informaiton and to register, please visit our website.
