The host for this year’s Routes Europe is Tallinn Airport which celebrated its 75thbirthday this year making it one of the oldest airports in Europe. This enables the airport to take their past experiences and add today’s innovations and knowledge transforming Tallinn Airport into a modern and comfortable facility which is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe.
Tallinn Airport is easily accessible from the city as it lies only 4km outside of the centre of Estonia’s 800 year old capital city meaning a taxi ride to one of the downtown hotels can take as little as 5-10 minutes. The airport was recently renovated and extended facilities with a customer oriented focus, free Wi-Fi for all passengers and the opportunity to use a unique Skype station in the terminal make Tallinn Airport one of the most efficient and innovative airports in Northern Europe.
Tallinn, a 2011 European Capital of Culture, is an eclectic mix of old and new, the Medieval Old Town has UNESCO heritage status and houses gothic spires and medieval markets alongside cappuccino and Wi-Fi creating a diverse mixture of historic ambience and cutting edge culture.
