Routes Europe 2012 looks set to be the largest Routes Europe event ever with first time attendees, high level delegates, new exhibitors, Route Exchange Briefings and much, much more. Here are just some of the recent registration highlights.
There are now over 150 Headquarter-based decision makers, representing 80 airlines, registered for this year’s event. This is the largest number of airline delegates ever registered for Routes Europe and will further strengthen the event’s position as the largest network planning event where airlines, airports and tourism authorities meet to discuss route development within Europe.
A strong low cost carrier presence is at the core of the event with registrations from Ryanair, easyJet, Norwegian.com, Germanwings, Vueling, Jet2.com, transavia.com and Air Berlin who will make their inaugural appearance at Routes Europe this year. Also attending the event for the first time is Spanish start-up carrier Volotea with Chief Strategy Officer Marco Comani leading a team of four.
Flag carriers will also be strongly represented in Tallinn with six delegates in attendance from Lufthansa and registrations also received from CSA-Czech Airlines, Turkish Airlines, SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Alitalia with more flag carriers expected to register soon.
The Russia to Europe market continues to go from strength to strength and this growth is reflected at Routes Europe with the presence of Aeroflot Russian Airlines, S7 Airlines, Rossiya – Russian Airlines and UT Air. Regional airlines will also be out in force with confirmed registrations also received from SkyWork Airlines, Blue Islands, Flybe, Flybe Europe, Germania, Darwin Airline, Cimber Sterling, Danube Wings and Skyways Express. Recent airport registrations include Jersey Airport, Aeroport de Lleida, London Southend Airport, Wroclaw Airport, Vagar Airport and Lugano Airport as well as representatives from Shell Aviation, Vitoria International Airport Promotion Agency and Sevilla Tourist Board. There will also be a non regional presence in Tallinn with representatives from Edmonton International Airport, Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan Tourism Board, Sabre Airline Solutions, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft and Orbitz.
