With only five weeks to go until the 10th Routes Asia event opens in Chengdu, have you applied for your Chinese Visa?
Visas must be obtained prior to arrival in China and ALL visitors to China, excluding citizens of Japan, Singapore and Brunei, holding ordinary passports, will require a visa. For details of entry requirements to China and for an application form you should contact your nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible before your departure as the visa process can be a lengthy one.
In addition to the visa application form, relevant fees and photos, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the inviting company. You can apply for an invitation letter from our host, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CDIA), here. You should complete the electronic request form in full ensuring accuracy throughout. The visa invitation process will take approximately five working days and you will need this before you can apply to your embassy for your visa.
Most embassies and consulates accept a scanned copy of the invitation letter and therefore CDIA will issue the letters to applicants via email as an attachment. If your embassy or consulate does not accept a copy, please select an alternative format in the ‘Format Options’ section of the request form.
To ensure you receive your Chinese visa in good time to travel to Chengdu contact your local Chinese Embassy today to find out what their specific requirements are and make sure the process is a smooth one.
