2024 was an absolute record-breaking year for Vienna Airport and the best in our 70-year history. With 31.72 million passengers, we achieved a new all-time high, and the cargo volume of 297,945 tonnes marked a new historical high as well.

Malaysia experienced significant aviation growth in 2024, marked by the addition of 12 new airlines, 16 resumptions, and 24 new destinations. KL International Airport (KLIA), the nation’s busiest international gateway, welcomed several international carriers, while regional airports also benefited from increased air traffic with new direct flights to destinations across Asia and beyond.

Portugal’s airports smashed passenger record in 2024 ! Lisbon passed 35 million for first time.

ANA Aeroportos de Portugal is the country’s airport manager, a VINCI Airports’ concession. It runs 10 airports, with Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Funchal, Ponta Delgada and Horta being the six busiest facilities. Traffic at these six airports totalled 68.6 million passengers in 2024, up 4% from the prior record in 2023 and 17% from 2019. Passenger numbers have doubled since 2010 making Portugal one of the most dynamic European markets in the post-COVID era.

The first bank holiday weekend of the year will see around 340,000 passengers travelling through Dublin Airport over the four days between Friday and Monday.
