Route Opportunities: Hamad International Outlines Growth Intentions

Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, has outlined its growth intentions with almost 50 new unserved, underserved and upcoming routes added to its Routes 360 profile, including locations in the Middle East, South Asia and Europe.

One of the major opportunities outlined is Mexico City.

"Overall O&D traffic between DOH and MEX grew by 1041% to over 9,000 pax during the period of Mar 2022 - Feb 2023, mainly driven by World Cup 2022 in Nov and Dec 2022," said the airport.

"The top connecting points for the route were MAD (24%), IST (21%), FRA (9%) and CDG (9%)."

Key route opportunities outlined include:

• Luxor International Airport, Egypt
