Following on from the success of its inaugural event last December the second Invest & Manage Airports event will take place in London on 18-19 October 2012. Invest & Manage Airports is the meeting place where airports, airlines, airport operators and infrastructure investors meet to discuss new opportunities for investment in and management of airports from across the world.
Now in its second year, Invest & Manage offers a combination of keynote speaker & panel discussion programmes and one-to-one private meetings, supported by Opportunity Briefings and Networking within the Investor / Airport community.
The event is hosted by the organisers of Routes - The World and Regional Route Development Forums, and follows Routes’ successful format of prescheduled one-to-one meetings. These meetings will allow real business to be done between airports seeking investment and management expertise, investors who are looking for airport infrastructure opportunities, and airport operators who are aiming to extend their portfolio of managed assets around the world.
Discussing the 2011 event Jaime Guillen, CEO of Faros Infrastructure Partners said: “Invest & Manage provided an excellent format to explore the issues and opportunities between airports, airlines, and investors. Other conferences tend to separate these topics Invest & Manage brought them together and resulted in some very interesting discussions and ideas.”
Peter Stonor of RBS Global Banking & Markets also praised the inaugural event and said: “Invest & Manage was a very insightful conference, with a great mix of leading airports, airlines and infrastructure investors”
Many high level industry experts have already confirmed their participation in the speaker programme for 2012 including Michael McGhee, CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, Ken Crawford, Head of Aviation for The Scottish Government and Jaime Daly, CEO of Latin American Airport Holdings. Keynote addresses will be given by Professor. John Kasarda Ph.D, Director of Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise and Derek Hendry, Construction Director at London Gatwick Airport with many more industry leaders expected to confirm their participation soon.
