Spring Airlines announces two new services
Chinese low cost carrier Spring Airlines will inaugurate two new routes this August. The Shanghai based carrier will begin new non-stop services from Shenyang with a daily service to Xian which will begin August 6th operated with A320 aircraft. It will compete on this sector with China Southern which operates a daily flight with MD-90 equipment. Shenzhen Airlines also serves the route on a six times weekly service with A319 equipment. IATA BSP data shows that SkyTeam member China Southern has a 51% share of this market.
On August 4th, Spring Airlines will also launch scheduled service from Shenyang to Chengdu, on a daily basis competing with Air China's double daily rotation.
Singapore Airlines goes ten weekly to Osaka
Effective November 1st this year, Star Alliance member, Singapore Airlines is increasing its Singapore - Osaka Kansai service from seven to ten weekly. It is currently the only carrier operating the sector on a route. IATA BSP data shows that over 167,000 O+D passengers have flown the sector between May 09-10, with Singapore Airlines having a 58% share of this market.
Gulf Air heads to Colombo
Bahrain based carrier, Gulf Air will begin new scheduled services from its Bahrain hub to the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo. The new service will be operated on a five times weekly basis with narrowbody A320 equipment from September 22nd. Gulf Air will be the only carrier operating the route on which Sri Lankan Airlines has a 42% share of the Bahrain to Colombo market.
Shandong Airlines announces regional service
Shandong Airlines will begin new non-stop flights from Qingdao to Nanchang from August 1st. The new route will be operated on a daily basis with regional jet equipment (CRJ700). Shandong will compete on the route with Xiamen Airlines which operates a daily B737-700 service and Shenzhen Airlines which also operates a daily rotation with B737-300 flight.
Jetstar adds Auckland flights from Melbourne and Cairns
Jetstar Airways will begin services from Melbourne to Auckland on a thrice weekly basis commencing December 13th, whilst also operating new flights to Auckland from Cairns, which will begin 12th April 2011. Jetstar's new announcements underline the thriving Auckland market which already has Jetstar services from five markets into Auckland; Christchurch, Wellington, Sydney, Gold Coast and Queenstown.
春秋航空对外宣布将开通两条航线

新加坡航空将其大阪航线增至每周十班
从今年11月1日,作为星空联盟成员的新加坡航空将原有每周七班的新加坡 - 大阪关西服务增加到十班。其是目前运营此航线的唯一一家航空公司。据IATA的BSP数据显示,从09年5月到10年5月间,该航线的点对点旅客超过167,000 人次,而新加坡航空占据其中58%的市场份额。预期此次运力的增加将挽回该航线流失的客流。
海湾航空将开通科伦坡航线
以巴林为基地的海湾航空公司将开通巴林到斯里兰卡首都科伦坡的定期航班。这条新航线将于9月22日起每周运营五班A320窄体机。海湾航空公司将成为唯一一家在该航线上运营的公司,而斯里兰卡航空公司拥有该航线42%的间接市场份额。
山东航空宣布区域性新服务
山东航空公司将于8月1日开通青岛-南昌的直航航线。新航线在日航班的基础上采用区域性喷气机CRJ700。同时,山航将面临来自厦门航空和深圳航空在该航线上的竞争,前者每天一班B737 - 700,后者则运营B737 - 300每日往返航班。
捷星航空将增加奥克兰到墨尔本及凯恩斯的航班数量
捷星航空将于12月13日开通墨尔本-奥克兰每周三班的新航线,同时也将于2011年4月12日开始运营奥克兰-凯恩斯航线。捷星航空还宣布将推动奥克兰航空市场的进一步繁荣。目前该市场中已经开通了来自于5个点的航线,包括基督城,惠灵顿,悉尼,黄金海岸和皇后镇。
