ETIHAD TO BEGIN INCHEON FLIGHTS
Etihad will begin services to Seoul's Incheon International Airport from December 10. The new service will be operated on a daily basis with A330-200 equipment and will become the only carrier offering a non-stop service between the city pairs. Etihad's competitor, Qatar Airways, currently operates a 10-times weekly service from Doha.
AIR INDIA: DAILY TO ABU DHABI
Air India will ramp up existing frequency from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi with the introduction of a daily service from November 2010. The carrier will go head-to-head on the route with Etihad and Jet Airways, which each offer a daily service. Air India currently operates the route five-times a week.
IATA BSP data shows that over 117,000 passengers flew between the city pairs between May 2009-10. Jet Airways currently has 60% of this traffic. Air India also operates from Delhi to Abu Dhabi on a daily basis.
MALAYSIA AIRLINES UPS OSAKA KANSAI SERVICES
Malaysia Airlines will operate from Kuala Lumpur to Osaka with six weekly non-stop services from January 15, 2011. Currently three of these services transit via Kota Kinabalu. IATA BSP data shows that over 93,000 O&D passengers flew the KUL-KIX sector between May 09-10, with 73% of these passengers flying with Malaysia Airlines.
VIENNA NETS CHINA SOUTHERN CARGO
China Southern Cargo will begin new services to Vienna on July 23rd with a three times weekly B777F service from Shanghai (PVG). The flight will then head to Amsterdam.
CHINA EASTERN BEGINS NEW JEJU SERVICE
China Eastern began a new twice-weekly service to Jeju on July 19, with a twice-weekly service from Hohhot and with a scheduled stopover in Yantai. The service will be operated with B737-800 equipment. China Eastern already serves Jeju from Shanghai and Beijing. Beijing is operated twice weekly and Shanghai on a daily basis.
阿联酋联合航空开通银川航线
联合航空公司日前宣布，将从12月10日开通到汉城仁川机场的航线。两座城市之间目前还没有直航航线。这条新航线将在每日航班的基础上运营，采用A330 - 200机型。目前，其竞争者卡塔尔航空公司正在运营每周10班从其多哈基地到仁川的航班。
印度航空开通孟买到阿布扎比的每日航班
印度航空将通过2010年11月开通的孟买-阿布扎比日航班来增加其在此航线上的运营规模。其直接面对的竞争对手是已经运营日航班的阿拉伯联合航空及捷特航空。目前印度航空提供每周5班的服务。
IATABSP数据显示，09年5月至10年5月间，孟买与阿布扎比间的客流量已经超过了117,000人次。捷特航空拥有该航线客流60%的占有率。同时，印度航空还运营德里-阿布扎比的日航班。
马来西亚航空增加到大阪关西的服务
马来西亚航空公司已宣布，从2011年1月15日开始，将其吉隆坡-大阪航线的班次增加到每周6班直航。目前，其中三班经停哥打基纳巴卢。根据IATA BSP数据显示，在09年5月到10年5月间，该航线上的点对点客流已经超过93,000人次，其中马来西亚航空占有73%的市场份额。
南航开通越南货运航线
南航货运公司将于今天开始运营上海-越南的每周3班B777F航班。该航班经由越南飞往欧洲最大的货运机场之一阿姆斯特丹。
东方航空将开始运营济州航线
东方航空于7月19日开通了每周2班的济州航线，从呼和浩特出发经停烟台，采用B737 - 800机型。此前，东方航空已开通了上海-济州和北京-济州的航线，前者每周2班，后者每天1班。
