The Routesonline website has already become established as an efficient way to connect with an enormous reservoir of route development professionals, but now, working in partnership with industry leading data supplier OAG, it has enhanced its offering.
Improvements to its Route Exchange area of the website – an online trading zone for airline capacity and platform of choice for over 180 airlines tooutline their markets of interest and requirements for new air services – will mean that airport profiles will become an even more useful source for route evaluation data and intelligence.
A comprehensive design refresh has generated a new sleek and atheistically pleasing layout that has been designed to display key information in a precise and clear format based upon feedback directly from airline users. The use of larger imagery and concise bullet point text further enhances the layout, while the opportunity to quickly and efficiently connect and send personal messages to key contacts at any Route Exchange member organisation and share profile information via social media channels improves its functionality.
Beyond the design refresh, the other significant additions include OAG RouteMapper - an interactive route mapping and timetable product, showing at-a-glance all the destinations served from the airport and the carriers flying these routes, making it easier for airline network planning teams to evaluate commercial opportunities.
“The new Route Exchange profiles combine visual appeal with detailed and accurate information,” said David McMullen, Business Development Director – Routesonline, UBM Aviation, Routes. “The new profile functionality allows users to find and follow target airlines/airports, receiving real-time route development information that matters.
“Updates from others you follow will show up in a readable stream on your ‘My Wall’ timeline. Once you've followed a few organisations, you'll have a new page of information to read each time you log in,” he added.
