Aero Surveys Limited operating under the commercial name ‘Starbow’, based in Accra, the capital of Ghana, commenced domestic flights on September 26 with two BAe 146-300 regional jetliners. The aircraft are equipped in a two-class configuration with 8 Business Class and 86 Economy class seats.
The airline will principally operate from Accra's Kotoka International Airport with links to the important regional Ghanaian city of Kumasi and services to other destinations across the country, including Tamale and Takoradi. However, looking ahead it plans to take advantage of the limited capacity in the West African market by establishing regional international links on routes up to three hours in duration.
The airline confirms that destinations currently on its radar include Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Monrovia, Liberia; Bamako, Mali; Niamey, Niger; Lagos, Nigeria and Freetown, Sierra Leone.
