Monday World Routes Special - RX Carrier - Norwegian

Norwegian plans long-haul operation

Norwegian is the largest low-cost carrier in Scandinavia and one of the largest in Europe. It has bases in Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen and smaller bases in Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim. It closed its base in Warsaw, Poland, where it had previously had three based aircraft, during August.

Fleet

Norwegian operates a fleet of B737-700 and B737-800 aircraft. In addition, it has a number of B737-800 aircraft on order.

Network Strategy

Norwegian operates a mixture of city destinations and sunshine markets throughout Europe but has more recently expanded with seasonal service to Dubai from its major bases. This also illustrates its new focus on serving primary airports in order to attract both business and leisure travellers.

As part of its future long-haul planning, Norwegian is hosting a Route Exchange Briefing to selected long-haul markets on Monday September 20 in the Route Exchange chalet. Please note that this briefing is by invitation only.
