How Well Do you Know Your Start Up Carriers

This years' World Route Development Forum will see a strong presence from start-up carriers wishing to gain valuable insight into market trends and meet with airports, airlines and brokers as they seek to get off the ground in 2011. The Hub takes a look at brief look at these carriers plans.

The list below gives an insight into these carriers plans

Dalmation HR

Dalmatian.hr plans to be Croatia's first new low fare airline with the aim to provide consistent low fares to business and leisure customers. Starting flights in spring 2011 to domestic destinations and EU ones, they plan to grow operations, launching low cost long haul services to Australia, the Middle East, Asia, Canada, and the United States of America.

Eagle Wings Airlines

A new US based carrier seeking to operate regional markets.

Eurojetair

European based operator seeking to operate widebodied services with points in Europe to Asia and the US

FEEL Air

FEEL Air is a long haul low cost operator focusing on the Scandinavian leisure market. Initially, FEEL Air will fly out of Stockholm Arlanda and Oslo Gardermoen non-stop to great far-away destinations. FEEL Air's first destinations will be New York (JFK) and Bangkok (BKK). All the initial routes are set and approved, FEEL Air will disclose the launch date and fares when ticket sales open later.

Goldfield Ghanaian Airways

Proposed operator wishing to operate out of Accra with a B737 for medium haul services and a B767 for long haul services.

JetVision Airways

Jet Vision Airways is a proposed low-cost long-haul carrier that will operate services from Christchurch, New Zealand initially targeting the West Coast of the USA (LAX and SFO). It is expecting to launch in August of next year pending our ability to obtain the required financing.

Moonlight Air

Plans to operate scheduled services from the USA to Central Europe.

One Time Airlines

Onetime Airlines is a proposed start up carrier that will be based in Congo and operate services within the African continent. The carrier will be based in Kinshasa (FIH),Kisangani (FKI) and Lubumbashi (FBM).

Sahil Airlines

Proposed start up carrier new to Routes and aiming to begin scheduled intra European services.

Winnjet

Winnjet's management has an elaborate but feasible plan to start an airline that would be successful in any market or situation. But it is poised to take advantage of a timely opportunity that will virtually guarantee that it can be profitable within the first five years of operation. There are factors about the market right now that make this the best time to start a charter airline in the Western Canadian market. Its research and projections anticipate a profit in the third year of operation.
