Network Strategy
Flydubai has ambitious growth plans and is in the process of prioritising its upcoming routes for the next two years. The carrier is also interested in any forward thinking and creative ideas to make a flydubai route to your airport successful.
Flydubai’s network coverage includes all airports within approximately a five-hour flying time from Dubai, creating a circle stretching north into Russia, as far east as Bangladesh, west into the Mediterranean and as far south as Tanzania.
Flydubai's focus is primarily on point-to-point traffic and it seeks to stimulate demand for travel in new markets, as well as in the United Arab Emirates.
Route Exchange
Flydubai is currently welcoming proposals via Route Exchange and has listed a range of criteria that airports need to meet when sending route proposal to the Dubai-based carrier.
Flydubai is interested in being approached by airports within its range of operations (approximately five-hours flying time from Dubai) that can provide the following airport data:
- Where are your passengers travelling? (Detailed Origin and Destination traffic numbers).
- When are they travelling? (Monthly traffic numbers showing inbound and outbound travel patterns).
- Why are they travelling? (Market segmentation – VFR traffic, leisure, business, day return traffic, medical tourists).
- Who is travelling? (Demographics – nationalities, expat communities etc)
- How far are they travelling? (What surrounding catchment areas does your airport pull traffic from?)
- Any other relevant information – typical fare levels etc.
Airports are able to send their route proposals to flydubai via Route Exchange, the online bidding platform for new routes, where over 90 carriers are now requesting proposals.
