Complimentary City Tour: Russia’s Third Capital – Ekaterinburg
This tour, which will take place on both Saturday 23rdJune and Sunday 24thJune, includes a bus excursion through Ekaterinburg’s historic sites: the Historical Square, the 18th century Dam, Cathedral on the Blood and the fabulous merchants’ houses of “the gold rush” times (XVIII century). The tour will also include a short journey to the borderline between Europe and Asia.
The cradle of the Demidovs Empire – Nevyansk
Available on Saturday 23rd June, delegates can visit the capital of the powerful Demidovs Empire in the town of Nevyansk where you will see the 18th century Leaning Tower featuring an amazing acoustic room and secret laboratory where you will learn some secrets of Russia’s history about minting counterfeit coins in Siberia and illegal gold mining. You will also visit the ancient centre of ceramics and a private ceramic workshop. This tour includes a traditional Russian lunch.
