Taiwan’s EVA Air will expand its U.S. network in 2025 with the launch of a new route to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
Starting Nov. 3, the airline will operate five weekly flights from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport to Dallas, marking its second destination in Texas and increasing its U.S. route map to seven cities.
According to OAG Schedules Analyser data, the Star Alliance member currently flies three times per day to both Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as offering 10 roundtrips per week to Seattle. Chicago O’Hare, Houston George Bush and New York John F. Kennedy airports are each served daily.
Taipei will become the 11th destination in the Asia-Pacific region served nonstop from DFW, joining Auckland, Brisbane, Fiji, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Seoul Incheon, Shanghai Pudong, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita.
As reported by Taiwan’s Central News Agency, EVA Air General Manager Sun Jiaming highlighted Dallas as a strategic choice due to its status as the world’s third-busiest airport and its appeal to high-tech industries and businesses relocating to Texas. North America remains EVA’s third-largest international market, accounting for about 17% of capacity in November 2024.
The network expansion is being supported by the growth of the airline’s fleet, with six Boeing 787s expected to arrive in early 2025, bringing the total fleet to 90 aircraft. EVA has 12 787-9s and five 787-10s on order, as well as 18 Airbus A350-1000s and 15 A321neos.
