With five weeks to go until World Routes opens in Chicago, the Route Exchange Airline Briefings programme continues to grow, with 18 airlines now confirmed and more expected to sign up in the coming weeks to deliver a briefing at this year’s event.
Delivered by senior network planners and open exclusively to airport and tourism authority delegates, Route Exchange Airline Briefings are the only place to develop an understanding of the route planning function of airlines, hear a valuable update on the opportunities the airline feels are out there and gain an understanding of how decision makers at airlines see the market place.
Carriers from across the globe are included in the programme of briefings outlining the route development opportunities that exist and how airports can be part of their airline expansion.
The full programme of briefings can be found here and carriers listed so far include easyJet who plan to outline their future fleet and how their product strategy continues to evolve, helping them to grow and Condor Airlines. One year on from merging their airline operations this briefing will look at how their network has changed and how airports can continue to engage with one of the world’s most innovate holiday airlines.
Entering their 75th year of service and having reported their largest ever profits Air New Zealand, expected to be flying their 787-9 by the start of World Routes 2014, will also deliver a briefing which is expected to provide a detailed overview of the fleet plan expected to secure a profitable future. Virgin Atlantic Airways’ briefing will take a look at how the Delta Air Lines joint venture is shaping the future of their network and customer service proposition and life for the carrier since the merger with Singapore Airlines.
Most recent additions to the programme include WestJet, Air Canada, JetBlue and Cebu Pacific Air which is said to be evaluating new aircraft and considering potential new destinations in Europe and the West Coast of the United States.
Places in these briefings are limited and airport delegates should use the online meeting requests system to request a place at one of the airline briefings. New for this year, we have created a step-by-step guide of the scheduling process on our website, which will make requesting your place on one of the above briefings as easy as possible.
