Korean Air, founded in 1969, is South Korea’s flag carrier. Operating from its hub at Seoul Incheon International Airport, the airline offers a wide network of domestic and international flights. Its cargo division, Korean Air Cargo, is among the world’s largest. The airline is also a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance.

In December 2024, Korean Air completed its acquisition of Asiana Airlines, four years after the initial announcement, after securing approvals from various global regulators, including the EU and the U.S. Department of Justice, with concessions made to ensure competition.

Korean Air is one of the airlines registered to attend the 2025 Routes Asia event in Perth, Australia.

Routes Asia 2025 will unite decision-makers from the Asia Pacific route development community in Perth. The event Routes will create a platform for senior decision makers to meet and discuss the region's air services.
