ADAC Attends Routes Asia to Meet Chinese Carriers Ahead of World Routes
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), the host of The 18th World Route Development Forum in Abu Dhabi, UAE, was one of the key participants at the tenth Routes Asia forum, the region's only route development forum, which took place in Chengdu, China earlier this week. The ADAC delegation held a number of one-to-one meetings with airlines to discuss potential new routes, and to present the benefits that Abu Dhabi has to offer to the Asian carriers and the Chinese carriers in particular.
Commenting on this participation, Peter Hoslin, Head of Airline Marketing at ADAC, said: “China is an attractive market for Abu Dhabi with the many synergies between the two economies and the extraordinary growth they are both witnessing. Abu Dhabi offers excellent connectivity for China and the rest of Asia for onward travel to Africa, the Middle East and Europe and Routes Asia has been the ideal platform for ADAC’s Airline Marketing Team to connect with the key decision makers within the leading Asian carriers.”
“Hosting World Routes 2012 by ADAC in the UAE Capital will create another golden opportunity for the international airline and airport community to meet on a global scale and to witness, at firsthand, the potential of Abu Dhabi as a key destination to the industry’s decision makers” added Hoslin.
World Routes will be hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company and supported by the National Carrier of the UAE, Etihad Airways, as the official carrier for the event and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. The event will take place on 29th September to 2nd October and is set to be the largest World Route Development Forum to date with over 2,750 air service industry professionals expected to attend.
Sixteen years ago one of the first World Routes events took place in Abu Dhabi’s downtown Hilton Hotel and the 2012 event marks the first time that World Routes will return to a previous host city. Delegates who attended the 1996 event will be staggered with the vast changes that Abu Dhabi has gone through to become the forward thinking city it is today.
Whilst in China ADAC extended the invitation to all the airlines and airports attending Routes Asia to register for World Routes and join them in Abu Dhabi later this year.
