Airport In Focus: Curacao International Airport
Curacao International Airport (formerly Hato International Airport) serves the capital of Curaçao, Willemstad, with the island being a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Willemstad was also the former capital of the Netherlands Antilles before the dissolution of the autonomous country. The airport is a major facility in the Caribbean and equipped with the second-longest runway in the Caribbean. A number of North American scheduled and charter carriers operate to the facility, as well as a few Latin American carriers. The airport is operated by Curaçao Airport Partners.
