UK LCC easyJet has named Jan De Raeymaeker as incoming CFO, replacing Kenton Jarvis, who will succeed Johan Lundgren as easyJet CEO in January.
De Raeymaeker, who is currently CFO of European rail freight operator Lineas, will become easyJet CFO with effect from Jan. 20, 2025.
Prior to joining Lineas, De Raeymaeker was CFO of Brussels Airlines and before that, he held management roles at Arthur D. Little and De Valck Consultants, specializing in business strategy and technology.
“Jan has good experience in the airline and transport sectors as well as strong continental European reference points,” easyJet chair Stephen Hester said.
The appointment forms part of easyJet’s succession plan. In May 2024, the airline announced that Lundgren would hand over to Jarvis on Jan. 1, 2025. De Raeymaeker will fill the position left vacant by Jarvis’ promotion.
“His financial and commercial acumen will be critical as we continue to build toward the delivery of our medium-term targets,” Jarvis said. “I look forward to working closely with him.”
